In 2005, when China became the first network exporter in steel, our founders took their first steps into a sector that has been transforming ever since. Taxes, quotas and new capacities have changed import regimes in many countries, and more and more protective measures have come into force.

Along this journey, Eksper Metal was founded and grew; it completed sales to many countries, established companies and offices, and created employment abroad. It joined fairs in multiple countries, expanded its product range, and extended its sourcing network to Turkey, India, Vietnam and Korea.

Turkey’s long-standing strength in the production and export of long steel products began to show itself in flat and coated products as of the 2020’s. In line with this shift, Eksper Metal started to serve its customers from a warehouse it acquired in Kocaeli/Başiskele, supplying from stock with short lead times under its own control, and processing materials according to customer requirements.

Our exports from Turkey to neighbouring countries, either from stock or directly from mills; our intensive operations in the Western Balkans and Latin America; our direct shipments from the Far East to 3^rd countries, and our local buying and selling activities within Western Europe will continue, becoming more diversified over time.
