Product Specifications

Stainless steel is an iron alloy with at least 10.5% chromium. The chromium forms a thin, self-healing oxide layer on the surface, which protects the steel against corrosion without any coating.

Its nickel, molybdenum and manganese content defines the grade family. We supply 200, 300 and 400 series as flat and long products, with mill and polished finishes matched to the end use.

Commercial and special grades are available according to EN, ASTM and JIS norms.

GRADES

Additional grades are available upon customer specification.

300 Series (Austenitic)

Chromium-nickel grades with the widest corrosion resistance. Non-magnetic, easy to form and weld.

304, 304L, 316, 316L, 310S, 321

200 Series (Austenitic)

Lower-nickel, cost-efficient grades for indoor, decorative and kitchenware use.

201, 202

400 Series (Ferritic & Martensitic)

Magnetic, nickel-free grades for appliances, exhaust systems and heat-exposed parts.

430, 409, 410

Surface finish defines how stainless steel looks, reflects light and hides wear. Choose from mill, polished and colored finishes for each application

Typical Uses

Kitchen equipment & sinks

Tanks & process vessels

Deep-drawn cookware

Appliance inner parts

Industrial enclosures

Base sheet for polishing

2B Matt

Cold rolled, annealed and pickled, then skin-passed for a smooth, dull gray surface. The most widely used stainless finish and the base for most polished finishes.

Stainless Steel

Applications

Stainless steel is chosen where hygiene, corrosion resistance, heat resistance or appearance matter. Each application lists the grades and finishes most often specified.

  • 304 is the default for wet and food-contact areas. 201 is a cost-efficient option for dry, indoor parts such as panels and shelving.
